Robert Manson

Robert Manson has over 30 years of diversified oil and gas industry experience. He spent 12 years working as a Petroleum Geologist in the United States and he has an additional 20 years of experience in the international arena. He is an expert in all aspects of oil and gas exploration and production operations including: geology, geophysics, well design, conventional, directional and multilateral drilling technologies, work-over operations, well testing and analysis, reservoir evaluation and optimization, reservoir stimulation and completion options. He is well versed in environmental audits of oil and gas facilities, contaminated land and ground water remediation programs, environmental management systems, environmental impact assessments, safety management systems and emergency response procedures.

He has been in the upper management of several substantial companies and has direct experience as an oil and gas operator. He has also managed the sales, bid and tendering programs of international oil field engineering and service companies. His clients have been many of the world’s major multinational energy companies including ExxonMobil, ChevronTexaco, ConocoPhillips, BP, Shell, Agip, Total, and Petrobras and a number of the world’s largest engineering design and construction firms including KBR, Parsons, AECOM, Fluor and Bechtel. He has worked on oil and gas projects in the United States, the CIS, Europe, Africa, Latin America, Asia and the Middle East.

Mr. Manson is a full time resident in Kazakhstan. He has been involved in many of the region’s largest oil and gas development projects including Kashagan, Tengiz, and Karachaganak. In addition, he has been teaching Environmental Management, Petroleum Geology, Hydrogeology, and Geological Engineering at the Kazakh-British Technical University in Almaty.
